Here is what she has to say about her final project.
"My project was done at the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is a house used to house families who have children staying in the CHOCHospital. My goal with this project was to help the Ronald McDonald House become a home away for home for families who are staying there. I did this by making memory boards for each of the rooms for families to personalize the rooms with their own photographs and a place to put cards. I also made goodie bags for siblings of the kids staying in the hospital to take back and forth with them from the house to the hospital so that they have something to do while waiting in the waiting room. The goodie bags are filled with dominoes, playing cards, coloring books or notebooks, and pens and crayons. Another thing that I did was make dinner for the families several times and I also took pictures of the house each time I visited it. With the pictures that I took, I put them into an informative scrap book about the Ronald McDonald House that the workers will take with them to conferences to show what the House does for others. I also started a pop tab collection at RanchoStarbuckMiddle School and amongst my family. The pop tabs are used to help support the Ronald McDonald House’s needs since they are a non-profit organization. Although my project took a long time, I learned that getting friends and family involved with helping out, you learn to love it and have fun with it! This project proved to be a very rewarding experience for me and all those who helped make this project possible."
